Hi, I am Snigdha Tiwari 
I'm a Software Engineer based in New Jersey, currently building a real-time social listening platform at Narravance, working across the full stack on everything from sentiment analysis pipelines to live analytics dashboards.
I hold a Master of Software Engineering in Scalable Systems from Carnegie Mellon University (December 2024) and a B.E. in Electronics and Instrumentation from BITS Pilani, India. Over the past few years through internships, freelance work, and now full-time engineering, I've built up a pretty broad foundation across the stack, and developed a genuine interest in scalable systems, accessibility, and computing education. Outside of work, I'm currently developing an accessibility audit agent, picking up new tools and techniques as the project demands them. I also love building things just for the fun of it.
My tech stack spans JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, Java, and C/C++, with frameworks like React, Next.js, Flutter, and Django, and infrastructure across AWS, Docker, PostgreSQL, Redis, and more. I enjoy the full journey, from architecting systems to sweating the details of the user experience.

YouTube Caption Search Chrome Extension
Developed a Chrome extension that allows users to search through captions of YouTube videos and jump directly to the corresponding timestamp. This extension supports decoding HTML entities in captions, making them human-readable, and offers a clean and user-friendly interface.
Developed a versatile application leveraging the BLIP model for automated image captioning and question answering, featuring interactive Gradio-based web interfaces supporting local and URL-based image processing to increase accessibility for applications.
Firefighter Location Awareness System
Developed a Flutter based mobile application built for visualising the XYZ location of multiple firefighters in a fire incident to increase the efficiency of their save and rescue operations.
Ranked Top 5 in Web App Development Course Final Projects, outperforming 45+ teams. Constructed 7+ user flows using ReactJS and Django Rest Framework, integrating Stripe API for seamless payment processing. This is a dynamic ReactJs and Django web application that intends to serve as a student-friendly platform for buying/selling items between students.
Biomedical Signal Analysis for Opportunistic Probing of Emotion self-report collection
Developed an innovative methodology to optimize self-report collection, reducing the need for continuous sampling by 89% and improving data quality. Built a user-friendly ReactJs web app for emotion analysis annotations, streamlining data collection moments.
Sugamyata - HCI, Accessibility
Spearheaded the development of a CS1/CS2 curriculum that incorporated accessibility as a core design principle, resulting in a 100% increase in student awareness and competence in accessibility-related topics. Designed hands-on exercises simulating accessibility challenges, deepening students' understanding of user needs.
I developed the offical Tehsil website to show all the information a citizen and an employee might require. It is updated regularly with the latest news about Coronavirus and any orders that the state government might have released.
Achievements 
- IAS Scholarship 2022: Research fellowship for students intersted in researching in the Engineering field.
- CodeOp Scholarship 2021: CodeOp is a women-led coding school that supports the advancement of women, trans, and gender-nonconforming individuals in tech. I was one of the scholars selected from a pool of international applicants for a full-ride scholarship.
- SIGNAL Scholar'21: I got a scholarship of 200$ from Twilio for a full-pass ticket to Twilio's virtual SIGNAL conference which is coming up this October 20th & 21st! This ticket includes 75+ expert speaker sessions live & on-demand, Twilio Concierge with access to product experts, Conference gift kit, Superclass Developer Training.
- CTE x BGWiT competitive coding competition "Array Yaar": I had received a prize for being in the top 3 girls to participate in the competitive coding competition, "Array Yaar", organised by Center of Technical Education, BITS Goa and BGWiT, BITS Goa.
- MCN Scholarship: I have been receiving the Merit-Cum-Need scholarship from BITS Pilani based on my CGPA performance since the first semester of my college.
- UPSTSE 2017 Scholarship: I was given a merit scholarship on the basis of the Uttar Pradesh Science Talent Search Examination conducted by the Uttar Pradesh government for class 10th students. I was among the top 1000 students.
